Japan Foundation Traveling Exhibition "I Love Sushi" Held (National Museum)

On September 19, at the opening ceremony of the Japan Foundation Traveling Exhibition "I Love Sushi" held at the National Museum of Tanzania, Acting Ambassador Ueda delivered the opening remarks.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Noel Lwoga, Director General of the National Museum, who represented the guest of honor, Hon. Amb. Dr. Pindi Chana, Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism.
Sushi, recognized as a representative of Japanese cuisine and registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, is said to have a history of over 1,000 years. This exhibition introduces the history and culture of sushi through Edo-period ukiyo-e paintings, a replica of sushi stall, sushi and seafood figures, and a virtual sushi restaurant experience.
The exhibition is open to the public at the National Museum as follows:
Exhibition Period: September 20 (Saturday) – October 10 (Friday) (Opening hours are in accordance with the museum's schedule, daily from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
Location: National Museum Special Exhibition Room (Shaaban Robert St, Dar es Salaam)
