The birthday reception for His Majesty the Emperor of Japan (5 March 2025)

The birthday reception for His Majesty the Emperor of Japan was held at the Japanese Ambassador's residence on 5 March 2025. Hon. Amb. Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, represented the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania at the reception, which was attended by around 160 guests from various sectors including the public and private sectors, international organizations, as well as diplomats from other countries.
At the venue, guests had the opportunity to get to know more about Japan through an exhibition on Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGHSP), JICA projects, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, as well as an exhibition commemorating the sister city agreement between Nagai City in Yamagata Prefecture and Dodoma City with a corner to experience kendama (Japanese bilboquet), of which Nagai City is the largest producer in Japan, and Japanese food (Washoku) prepared by the Ambassador's chef.
