jet2026
The JET Programme, a Japanese government-sponsored exchange program, promotes international understanding between Japan and other nations.

The JET Programme is implemented by local authorities and other organisations in Japan, which appoint participants in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC); the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA); the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), including the Sports Agency; and the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR).

This year, applications for the Sports Exchange Advisor (SEA) position are open to Tanzanian nationals. SEAs engage in internationalisation activities through designated sports.

The Embassy of Japan in Tanzania, in collaboration with the National Sports Council of Tanzania, will conduct the initial screening of applicants for the 2026 JET Programme, seeking specialists and coaches in athletics, preferably marathon.
