Courtesy Call on EAC Secretary General Stephen Mbundi

On July 24, 2026, Ambassador Mikami paid a courtesy call on EAC Secretary General Stephen Mbundi of Tanzania, who assumed office in April this year. During the meeting, we had discussions on the contributions of the three Japanese experts seconded to the EAC Secretariat through JICA, the need for development of regional transport infrastructure, and further strengthening of cooperation in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
