Courtesy Call on Governor Amos Makalla of Arusha Region

On July 24, 2026, Ambassador Mikami paid a courtesy call on Governor Amos Makalla of Arusha Region. During the meeting, we had discussions on the tourism situation in Arusha, which serves as a hub for Tanzania's tourism industry, the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects under which 14 projects have been implemented in the region to date, as well as large-scale international conferences and sporting events scheduled to be held in Arusha in the future.
