12th Episode(Beef Bowl, Japanese style "kacumbari" and cherry tomatoes with syrup)
1. Beef Bowl (“ Gyu-don “)
(Ingredients)
Lump of ox meat 600g
Onion 200g
Ginger 100g
3 cubes of chicken stock
Soy-sauce 2 table spoon
Sugar 1 table spoon
Salt
Vinegar
Steamed rice

①Thinly slice the ox lump.
②Boil the sliced meat for 1.5 hours.
③Replace the boiling water of ② with clean water, and add sliced ginger, chicken stock cubes, soy-sauce and sugar, then cook for 15 min.
④Add sliced onion to ③ and cook another 5 min, then add salt for flavor if necessary.
How to make pickled ginger for accompaniment:
④Finely shred ginger and boil for 10 min.
⑤Pickle in salted vinegar

To finish,
⑥Place the cooked ox(④) on top of steamed rice and garnish with pickled ginger(⑤).
2. Instant Cabbage Pickles (Japanese Style "Kachumbari")
(Ingredients)
Cabbage
Carrot
Ginger
Salt
MSG(optional)
①Slice cabbage, carrot and ginger.
②Add salt and mix well, then leave it until serving.
③Squeeze ②, and if desired, add MSG before serving.
3. Cherry tomatoes with syrup
(Ingredients)
Cherry tomatoes (or ordinary tomato)
Sugar
Mint leaves
Lemon

①Boil the tomatoes for 1 min. and peel the skin
②Make a syrup with hot water, sugar and lemon juice( Water volume : sugar = 2 : 1)
③Put the skinned tomato into the syrup(②), and keep in a cool place for more than 3 hours.
④Serve chilled with mint leaves.

13th Episode(Croquette and Deep Fried Ugali)
1.” Croquette “
(Ingredients)
Potato 1kg
Lean beef 300g
Onion 200g
Egg 2
Bread crumb 2cup
Wheat flour
Vegetable oil for deep fry
Salt and pepper to taste

①Boil the potato and mash until it becomes smooth.
②Mince the beef with a large knife and chop the onion into small pieces.
③Fry the minced beef and chopped onion together until they become grey, then add flavor with salt and pepper.
④Mix the mashed potato with fried beef and onion(③), then form the mixture into several hamburger shaped pâté with your hands.

⑤Sprinkle wheat flour around each pâté, then dip them into beaten egg, and coat with bread crumb.
⑥Deep fry the coated pâté (⑤) with vegetable oil until they become brown.
2.Deep fried “ Ugali “
(Ingredients)
Left over ugali
Vegetable oil
Salt
①Cut some left-over ugali in bite-sized pieces.
②Deep fry ① until they become lightly colored and crispy.
③ Sprinkle salt to add flavor before serving.
